Celebrating Service: Claudia Smiley Geurin Shines Bright!

Claudia Smiley Geurin, our dedicated Chair of the Membership Committee for the NAACP Louisville Branch, was recently honored with the Impact Volunteer of the Year Award by the Louisville Urban League. The recognition was presented during the League’s Impact Annual Report Luncheon on December 5, 2025, at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

For more than 40 years, Claudia has been a proud and active member of the Louisville Urban League. Her decades of service—marked by generosity, consistency, and a deep commitment to community—have strengthened countless programs, events, and initiatives. Claudia doesn’t just volunteer; she shows up, she builds, and she uplifts. Her work has touched lives across Louisville and continues to inspire those who serve alongside her.
