WIN Committee Supports The Healing Place for Women
By Elizabeth Caples, Chairperson
The WIN (Women in the NAACP) National Theme, “Outstretched Hands and Open Hearts to Women and Children,” continues to guide the work of the Louisville Branch as we uplift women and families throughout our community.
In that spirit, the Louisville Branch WIN Committee organized a donation effort to support The Healing Place for Women, collecting an impressive array of personal care items, socks, hats, gloves, towels, washcloths, and other essentials. Members also contributed funds for additional shopping, ensuring that the women served by the facility received both comfort and care. The generosity of the NAACP general membership was truly inspiring.

Located at 1503 South 15th Street, The Healing Place for Women offers specialized recovery services tailored to the needs of women in need. Many of the individuals who walk through their doors are seeking hope, stability, and a path forward. The Healing Place relies heavily on the compassion of outside organizations and community partners to continue its mission. Staff members expressed deep appreciation for the Louisville Branch’s thoughtful and timely support.
