Welcome to the NAACP Louisville Branch
About Our President: Dr. Raymond M. Burse
Welcome to the NAACP Louisville Branch—where community, advocacy, and justice come together to build a stronger, more equitable Louisville. For more than a century, our Branch has stood at the forefront of civil rights work in Kentucky, championing fairness in education, economic opportunity, healthcare, environmental justice, and civic engagement. Today, we continue that legacy with renewed purpose and a deep commitment to serving every corner of our community.
Under the leadership of Dr. Raymond M. Burse, President of the NAACP Louisville Branch, we are strengthening our impact, expanding our partnerships, and ensuring that the voices of Louisville’s residents—especially those most affected by inequity—remain at the center of our work.

As President, he has strengthened the Branch’s organizational structure, expanded community partnerships, and elevated its role as a trusted voice on issues ranging from education and economic opportunity to environmental justice and public health.
